Allen
finished fifth at the IAAM Championships in the 500m dash with the
third fastest time in school history (1:26.50). Her 800m PR (2:35.46)
was set earlier in the meet, leading off the fourth place 4x800m
relay team. She finished her championship meet by leading off the
4x400m relay with her PR of 64.53 to a third place finish and the
#2 time in school history.

Danielle
Beard; 11th
Beard
is now the school record holder in two events (55m dash) and (Long
Jump) after the 2009-10 season, and led the team in points scored.
Beard is the team leader in all five of the events she competed
and ranks #2 for the 300m dash.

Davis: 12th
Davis
placed third at the IAAM Championship with her all-time best of
33 feet 8.75 inches. She backed that up with a third place finish
at the Last Track to Philly Invitational with a throw of 32 feet
4.5 inches.

Molly
Miller; 9th
Miller
finished second at the IAAM Championships with a school record time
of 2:33.23, while also running a leg on the fourth place 4x800m
(2:35.93) and 4x400m relays (69.14).
Miller
was the only Spalding athlete to win a cross country meet during
the fall, winning our first home tri-meet against Maryvale and Mt.
DeSales in 21:13.2 for 5k. Shortly after finishing 12th overall
at the Army XC Festival in Richmond, VA on September 26th, Miller
developed a stress fracture and was lost for the season.
After
not racing for over two months and losing one and a half months
of training, Miller placed 22nd overall at the Footlocker Northeast
Regional Cross Country Championships at Sunken Meadow State Park,
(NY), earning All-Northeast honors (top-24 finishers)for Freshman.
Miller
shows tremendous potential on the track and should be a factor right
away within IAAM middle distance runners.

Adrienne Shoots; 12th
Shoot
just missed her 500m PR at the IAAM Championships, finishing seventh
in 1:29.23. However, the senior anchored the fourth place 4x400m
relay with her personal best of 65.67.
Shoots
turned her 500m dash PR of 1:34.5 into a school record of 1:28.89
in the first meet of the year, finishing fifth overall, while also
anchoring the 4x400m relay to the second fastest time in school
history. A former short sprinter, Shoots will move up to middle
distance this year which should spell big success.

Courtney
Doran ; 11th
Despite
never having high jumped before, Doran finished 5th in the high
jump at the IAAM Championships with a personal best 4 feet 10. Doran
also cleared 4-10 at the Private Schools Invite, just missing 5-0
on her third attempt.

Boivin ; 11th
Michelle
is the school record holder for the triple jump with a leap of 28
feet 10 inches. Boivin owns the teams third best 300m dash time
(48.27) and the fourth best 200m split (29.43).

Chaundy ; 10th
Chaundy
ranks #1 all-time in school history for the 1000m dash (3:25.51)
with her second place finish at the Private Schools Invite at Georgetown
Prep School. The sophomore also ranks third this season for the
4x800 relay and fourth for the open 800m dash.

Anson ; 9th
Anson
got her first running victory of her career by claiming her heat
of the Mile at the Last Track to Philly Invite at the Georgetown
Prep School with her personal best time of 5:48.67, which converts
to 5:46.15 for 1600 meters. That time ranks #4 in school history.
Anson set her 800m best in the 4x800m relay at the IAAM Championships
as a member of the fourth place team.

Adri
MnKande; 9th
MnKande
ranks second all-time in Spalding history in the indoor long jump
and triple jump after just her first season of track & field. The
freshman jumped 13 feet 10.25 inches at the Last Track to Philly
meet at Georgetown Prep, and soared 27 feet 0.25 inches at the Private
School championship meet at the same venue two weeks later. MnKande
also had the teams fourth best 55m dash time and sixth best 4x200m
relay split. With experience and development, MnKande could become
a very strong team contributor.
